using win 7 home premium 64 bit with office XP, I have created a diagram in word with a table, 1 row of 39 cells, I want duplicate the table but with either the table or the text upside down, I know I can rotate a shape but can I rotate a text box with the table inside or the table or just the text? there isn't an option for upside down text in the text direction option under format, all help and advice appreciated, thanks

I don't think that this is possible but you never know!

Hi I just love this sort of challenge but, needless to say, don't always achieve the solution. However, a few ideas occur to me, although I don't know Office XP and my experience is with Office 2003.

One way that I envisage to be easy to achieve, unless I've misunderstood you, would be to use the Snipping Tool, capture the table that you want duplicated, with the text in it, then it's a jpg which you can rotate as a picture.

Would that be feasible for what you need?

WordArt can be rotated. You could type your text in WordArt, changing the font and size etc to match what you want and drag it to fit inside the cell

That would have been my suggestion also, unless you need the ability to update the table.

thaks guys, been experimenting with suggestions but to no avail, I think the quickest option is to recreate document in something like Serifs Page + and that will give me more options, I appreciate your time, help and advice, many thanks

We could have been more help if you had made it clearer as to the end result you wanted. ie: a picture, a working upside-down table z-a with ability to enter text upside down... etc
