No sound on PC

Sound all of sudden quits on PC. I clicked on the speaker logo at the right lower corner and set the highest. Still no sound. I went to control panel and checked. Every thing seems OK but still no sound. The speaker hardware is working OK. What else can I do?

Try this first. Microsoft
