My computer freezes on shutting down stating it is trying to shut down windows Hosts file then goes into a blue screen BSOD. I understand the Hosts file needs editing on notepad but where do I find Windows 7 Hosts file on the computer?

Sorry but a few more details are needed as I have not come across a hosts file causing a BSOD. Can you post the complete error message?

You could just update the hosts file here.
