My ipad2 won't allow deletion of any program's

I am unable to delete any program's on my iPad 2. I follow the instructions and get the 'wobbles' on but th crosses on each application fail to appear. Basically, my young grandchildren have put a number of games on and I want to get rid of them and The daily Mail and the like. The 'Restrictions' Ap, although not knowingly set, is asking for a passcode number. I am inclined to do a factory reset but will it clear the 'Restriction passcode AND what else?

A factory reset will put it back as you bought it.

Try these:

  1. Connect to iTunes on your PC by USB or wifi and try to delete the apps through iTunes.

  2. If that doesn't work then try a reset by Opening Settings, General - Reset - Reset all settings. Media should not be deleted.

  3. iTunes should have a backup and you could restore from that.

A factory reset will clear everything off your ipad and it will be as if you have just taken it out of the box. Which means you will need to put all your settings back in then use itunes to put what apps you want back on the ipad.

You will not have to download or pay for them again as they will all be in itunes. I would delete the apps you do not want from there first before reinstalling them.
