I have attempted to import an Excel spreadsheet 2300 lines into Access. It didnt import and my excel spreadsheet is now blank apart from the titled columns! I cannot explain how important this spread sheet is and realise how stupid i have been to not keep a good back up! Please please can someone help me to get back the spreadsheet or is all lost? Thank you for your help

(in my panic I thought I had posted this about half an hour ago, but cannot find it in the feed, so apologies if it is posted twice)

Compumac I had Access Contact manager open and had given the same headings in Contactmanager as i had in the spreadsheet. Went to import Excel spreadsheet and thought I had followed the instructions. at the end it asked me if I wanted to save as said yes!

I followed the same procedure and it comes down to when you are asked to save AS.................... Make a copy of your spreadsheet and use it as a dummy and then import it into Access but make a note of the options of saving to.............

wishtobewireless.

It would not be the first time that I have had similar problems and just being able to get back to the original situation is one big relief in itself. Time to reflect and try again later, but treading slowly.

Pleased for you.
