PowerPoint 2013 file - can it be opened by earlier versions?

If I create a new presentation in PP 2013 and save it, can it then be opened in an earlier version of PP, e.g, PP 2010 or PP 2007?

Not all features are available in older versions

However if you select save as you should get an option to save as a version that will open in an older PPT.
