how do access my laptop without administrator password

My son changed the administrator password on his Toshiba Satellite laptop running windows 7. I've tried to perform a system restore because we can remember previous password, but I can't seem to get access without 'you guessed it, the administrator password'. Is there anyway around this, bearing in mind I have previous password, without paying PC World or someone to do this for me?

And instructions here -

There is a hidden default Administrator account that is created when your operating system is installed. Access that account to reset your password.

  1. Boot your computer and press F8 repeatedly
  2. Access Safe Mode
  3. Key in "Administrator" in Username, with no password.
  4. Go to Control Panel, then User Accounts
  5. Select the account you want to reset the password
  6. Change the password
