Paragon backup & recovery 2011 advanced free backup

I have used the above to run a system back up and differential backup to external drive. Both have worked well. Can someone advise re worst case scenario if my PC drive fails how do I run the Paragon program as it would be on the failed drive. Would this be a case of boot from the Paragon rescue disc I have created and then use this to restore the files from the external drive?

The first question is does the Paragon rescue disk work? if the disk works you should be able to restore the computer from a backup file.

I would suggest booting from the disk and go through the process to check it can find the external drive/recovery files.

Thanks BRYNIT. Im just a bit hesitant to boot from this disc and perhaps getting caught up in the middle of a recovery process without an option to go back. It would seem to make sense that this disc will allow me to use the backup to restore. Just wondered if anyone else had used this program and could confirm this

As per BRYNIT - I would suggest booting from the disk and go through the process to check it can find the external drive/recovery files.

You are going to have to test it to see if it works - I have a boot rescue on a USB stick made from my Backup program CASPER which I tested - it is unlikely you will get caught up in the middle of a recovery/restore as it won't get that far - ie: you would have to choose an option of where to restore from.

Thanks for the advice. Makes sense as I guess if I were ever really stuck I should check that the recovery disc works.

Just booted from rescue disk to check its picking up the archive on the external drive and it all works fine. Thanks.
