Computer Powers On... and Then Off

When I turn my computer on, it promptly powers back off. I hear the fans inside your computer turn on, see the lights on the front of my computer turn on and flash, and then it will all stop. I don’t see anything on the monitor and I hear beeps coming from the computer before it shuts off by itself. After between 20 & 30 attempts the lap top starts. It is an Acer travelmate 7520 about 4 years old and in the last year has had Windows 7 plus Office 97 installed. I have run, defrag, full malware, CC CLEANER

One I think. Once it is running I can switch off and then back on with no problem.

I assume this isn't fix even though you have ticked it? click in same column to untick.

It sounds like either a heat problem or a faulty PSU.

Open the case (with it shut down)and suck out all the dirt you may also need to lift the cpu fan off to clear the dirt from between the fan and the heatsink.
