how do i sync a old ipod with a new tunes libary

a few years ago i bought a ipod touch for a friend and helped her with buying and downloading music to her ipod touch. has she did not have a pc at the time her i tunes library was on my pc however over the years she never bothered with i tunes anymore so i never kept her i tunes id passwords etc when i got a new pc. she now has a brand new pc and wants to know if she downloads i tunes and creates a new i tunes library will she be able to sync the contents of her i pod touch to the new library she has no knowledge of her old id etc from her original tunes library can anyone help please

You could try copying the I tunes music in a folder to a USB HD . Then she could put the folder on her PC (maybe on the desktop). Then register her new PC with a new iTunes account. Hopefully the I pod will "reverse synch" and put its contents on the Pc but if it goes wrong she could then, in iTunes, Music use the Add Folder command to import the folder you gave her.

Maybe wait for other replies for a bit.

She could use your PC and use the "lost password" routine and set a new one (if she remembers the id). Otherwise there is a total reset procedure - Google to follow it "Reset an iPod to factory settings)then procede as above.
