Weird icons displayed when logging in

Ok so as from today for some reason any site i log into with name and password has on the end of the log in box an "icon"

when entering email add\name its a x when entering a password its like a dot with a half circle over it?

Ive fully updated my windows 7 last night so is this something to do with updates and can it be removed

You click on that 'eye' icon to show the password entered . A way of checking if you've typed it correctly.

Should have added that the 'x' is for clearing the name.
