Suddenly unable to view DVD's

Hello

Went to play a DVD that I have viewed in the past and all I got was the sound track but no picture. In the top left hand view it says AV1 and that's all.

Have turned the DVD player off along with the TV and tried again, but with the same result.

Any idea's on the problem?

Hi Fruit Bat

The TV's a Sony KDL-37EX 503

Connected by a Scart cable

Checked all connections, haven't a spare cable.

Thanks
