amd vs intel i series

hi i am about to buy new laptop for video editing (go pro 500) and browsing internet and playing hd video. which is better amd or i series. most i can afford is i5 so please bear in mind.

I think most people on here would say, if you can afford the i5 option, go for it. IIRC, Chronos is a big i5 fan.

I agree with Ian in Northampton, i5 is the one to go for, I bought a new laptop from Novatech almost a year ago complete with i5, it is grrreat!

Its all about what you can afford , But Intel ivy bridge chips will easily outperform there AMD equivalent , but performance costs !
