Incompatibilities between Firefox and Flash

Can anyone come up with the answer to the above problem, if I go to a site that requires flash, Firefox crashes.

This appears to be a problem with many users of Firefox 19.0.2 and the latest version of flash. I can install earlier versions of flash and they work ok, but I do get fed up of all the warnings that keep popping up. Trawling the web suggests this has been an ongoing problem for a number of Firefox users for some time now, but for me this is a recent problem.

If I uninstall then reinstall flash, Firefox will work ok for maybe a day or two, then becomes unusable. I cannot get along with IE, so have installed Chrome to use whenever I need to view sites that require flash. However Firefox is my browser of choice, so would really like to sort it out. I use W7 64bit, but If I switch to W8 there is no problem.
