Windows Explorer Selects Folder - Annoying

Can anyone tell me how to set Windows Explorer so that it does not select a particular folder when it's opened. It's set at %windir%\explorer.exe & can be set to select different folders. This setting selects the C:\ folder.

It's really annoying, partly because it take a couple of seconds after Windows Explorer is opened to select the C folder. By that time I've already worked my way through the folders to select the one I want to use. Then suddenly, ping!, Windows Explorer decides that I don't need the folder I've selected, instead I need the C drive. It happens every time & it's infuriating.

Please can someone help

Windows Explorer opens the 'My documents' folder by default, for obvious reasons. If you want it to default to opening the 'C' drive you can do it like this:-

Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then right-click Windows Explorer.

Click Properties, and then type the following text in the Target box: c:\windows\explorer.exe /n,/e,c:\

3.Click OK.

Thanks for your response Forum Editor.

I don't want Windows Explorer opening to any particular folder. It opens initially to the C drive now. Is there a way of getting it to open without selecting a particular folder.

The annoyance is that it takes a couple of seconds to decide to change folders, just as I'm working on the folder I want.
