how to remove delta Search in Firefox 19.0.2

Windows XP SP3 When I click on the plus sign to open a new tab I get Delta Search i.e. I cannot open a new tab! I cannot find Delta in the programs list nor in Firefox add ons. Can anyone tell me how to remove this confounded nuisance
