Repair Boot Disc

I am unable to create a Boot disc for my Laptop, each time I try I get an error message, Parameter is incorrect (0x80070057).

I do have a boot disc for my 64bit Desktop PC also with windows 7 Home Premium. I have created a C drive Image for the laptop on an external USB HardDrive.

As I am unable to create the repair boot disc for the Laptop will I be able to use the desktop boot disc?

Not the destop CD probably won't help

have a look here apply the fix and retry to make your disks

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it does not work, I entered the registry and found the entry and it is marked with a 1, ( It was labelled 32 bit) I also added and entry for 64 bit and gave it a value of 1 this also caused a similar error message but this a different number. Any further ideas?
