Hi, I bought a new windows 8 PC late November and have been totally impressed with IE10. I have also installed Chrome 25 (for my g mail account and for translation etc) as well as Firefox 19 (for downloading you tube stuff etc). IE10 (both versions in windows 8) is very fast but sometimes prone to "stop working" now and again-but not often enough to put me off it. Firefox 19 is fast and stable but doesn't import my bookmarks etc properly from internet explorer which is a pain. Google Chrome 25 is very fast, even faster than Firefox but I don't like the fact that you have to enable the bookmarks bar to have easy access to your bookmarks/favorites etc.-and by doing so you loose quite a bit of your viewing area. All things considered, for day to day surfing etc I have (after several years of championing Firefox and despite the odd crash) tend to use IE10 as first choice, Firefox as second with chrome bringing up the rear. Obviously this is purely my own subjective findings and others may find otherwise, all the latest reviews indicate that chrome is the fastest and I won't disagree, but for me IE10 has the best balance Hope this helps!!!

@Batch that was the same scenario with my updates too(windows 7)although the IE 9 update installed fine for me. I left IE 10 unticked and just installed it a bit later. If you turn off clear type(desktop/properties/display)then look at this site on firefox that's what I'm getting on IE10.It wasn't like that on IE9?

Batch. I had the same experience, I let the IE10 install so perhaps the IE9 update failed because IE 10 uninstalled 9. Anyway I do not see much difference except IE 10 has a built in version similar to DNT+
