computer wont accept my password to open up

my computer will suddenly not accept my password. Every time I enter it, it says password denied. Also tells me the user profile service failed the log in. The remote procedure call failed and did not execute. to reset the password it tells me to put a disk in ?

Op system?

It sounds like a corrupt profile.

Usual method is to create a new profile with admin privileges, copy everything from the old profile and then delet the old profile
