Need advise on broken usb transceiver

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, but I couldn't find a similar post. I've physically broken the "Microsoft 2.4Gz Transceiver v6.0" that came with my "Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 Keyboard and Mouse Set". http://amzn.to/10CWIWn

I just spoke to Microsoft Customer Support who told me that each transceiver is linked uniquely to the product it's bought with, and recommended getting a universal transceiver, but wasn't able to advise me further. Would anyone be able to tell me what to look for/where to find it?

Failing that, I'll have to buy a new set. Thanks in advance! :D

Could you take your mouse and keyboard to a specialist compter shop that may be able to help you?

Logitek do something called a unifying transceiver but never heard of the same for MS, think your probably looking at a new wireless keyboard set.

Not at least for a few days (home, in the middle of nowhere, for Mothers' Day), but I will do if that needs to be done!
