Advanced Format Drive - Can it be made accessible for XP?

It's in a usb caddy; when plugged into XP computer it shows up as a 'RAW' file system or as an 'unsupported file system' in a partition recovery utility.

Can I reformat this disk and use it as an external data drive?

It's a 320gb WD Scorpio Blue; MDL: WD3200BPVT - 22ZEST0 [2.5" Laptop HD]

See here you need either a hardware jumper on two of the pins on the drive or install the WDAlign tool

Thanks FruitBat/\o/\ ... looks a bit complicated. Will try the WD Align Tool, later.
