broken wireless switch on hp

I have an hp laptop running ubuntu and the wireless switch is physically broken in the off position .Is there any way of turning wireless on?

Wireless dongle will probably work ok if you can't fix your on off switch.

I found a pluscom wireless dongle but laptop does not see it when it is plugged in

Have you loaded the drivers for your op system for this dingle drivers here
