How to update computer firmware

Could you provide me with instructions on how to update the firmware in our Toshiba laptop. We use the windows 7 version.

What firmware it does not have one, other than BIOS update or Drivers for Hardware

It would be more useful to know what it is you're trying to achieve, rather than you telling us what you think the solution to the problem might be. What's the problem you're looking to solve? As woodchip says: PCs typically don't have firmware as such: the BIOS and drivers are what sit between the underlying hardware and the operating system.
