Internet options,/settings,/ view files, I have read what “favicons do”, but there are 80 of them, can I delete them? Also there are 24 wmp files (windows media ) can I dump them as well

Yes. Because they are temporary internet files.

Download and use the excellent free program of crap cleaner.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Run the cleaner after every internet usage to clear temporary files. Untick the cookie option if you ant to save passwords on sites.
