wireless printers - can you use just with usb lead?

I am looking to buy a Canon Pixma - MG5450 which is wireless. Wireless function on PC bust so for now just want to use connected with standrad USB cable< anyone know if this is ok? many thanks

But you can still connect it to the router wirelessly and print from your cabled PC.

I gave up on my HP printer's wireless capability and now have it connected successfully via USB.

I have only ever owned one HP printer,never again, nothing but problems and as for trying use it wirelessly, it never happened. Bunged it on Freecycle a fortnight after I bought it and went back to Epson.

Chronos: I too am a lifelong Epson fan. HP is what happens when you let your wife buy you technology... She took offence at the number of cables under my desk, and decided that my birthday was the ideal opportunity to start to do something about it.
