type dvdvideosoft into google and you get a lovely legal and free set of sofrware apps to use.

Check on downloading, if you wan't to try it, to untick whatever toolbars (Google) etc is offered during install. It also offers a great video capture, within browser, if you can't download.

The downside is it also allows adult content videos to download if selected. Fortunately it's not the default.
