Windows FAX and Scan programme

I have been using the "Windows FAX and Scan" programme on my Laptop for many months, but today it is now reporting "no Scanner found". The scanner is the same one as before, the network is working correctly and I can print from the Laptop to the "All in One scanner/printer" as usual.

I have not found a way to re-install the programme without doing a complete re-install of the whole OS (Windows 7 home premium).

This has occurred before and I had to start from scratch and re-install OS as the only way around the problem.

I also have a desktop PC and that is connected to the same router and the same printer/scanner and the Windows Fax and Scan programme can see and use the scanner.

Does anyone have the same problem and how do you get around this.

I also run Virtual Acorn on the same machine and can access the same scanner over the same network!

Simple reinstall the driver for your scanner, and try it again.
