I AM CONVERTING VHS TAPES TO DVD VIA MY LAPTOP WITH AN EZ GRABBER. HOWEVER THE RECORDINGS ARE FLASHING WHEN CAPTURED ON THE LAPTOP. CAN ANYONE HELP?

If the VHS tapes are commercial then the copy protection may be causing this.

Don't think its copy protection, as the EZ connects direct to the output. Tape would know any different than if it was being played direct to TV. You could Try using Movie Maker To capture to PC

Copy protection is so arranged that its ignored by a TV but not by another VHS recorder.

Dont know how this would affect a device such as a converter though.
