ASUS N55S Laptop's Battery Light Flashes Red and White

It's an ASUS N55S laptop. The battery light flashes red and white, but on the computer screen, an icon says the battery is fully charged. Sometimes the laptop automatically turns off like there's no power left but it is plugged into a multi plug adapter. How can I fix this ASUS N55S battery ?

Sounds like you have a faulty/failing charger.
