I.ve downloaded a document which is i notepad format but it's all gobbledeegook how can I convert it to pdf or something else which is readable please

If it is "gobbledegook" when opened in Notepad then the file isn't plain text. You need to know the program that it was originally saved in, but try opening in Wordpad rather than Notepad.
