I WAS WAITING FOR A CALL ON SKYPE

While I was waiting for a call on Skype, a loud voice yelled;URGENT YOUR COMPUTER IS AT RISK. It directed me to a website:helposg.com. I saw it was a download, which I didn't do. I ran my Norton 360 and it showed no problem. My Skype account shows only my contacts can contact me. Howdid they get through? How can I protect my computer from these strangers?
