My brothers desktop running windows 7 - 64bit. After boot up the internet connection icon bottom right of screen shows red x, yellow triangle, blue circle for about ten minutes, then shows error message as follows - Windows Mail Error ID:0X800CCC0D. Protocol pop3 Port:110 Secure (ssl) No socket error 11004. We reloaded windows 7 but error persists However, after 15 minutes the fault clears and internet access is ok ! Any help would be appreciated. Windows Mail 2011 is used mainly as its favorite with my brother.

Has the problem just occurred recently? Have you had a Windows Update for WLM ? If so try removing the update then reboot.

You could also try right click on the Internet connection icon and select Troubleshoot Problems
