How to delete Delta search bar

Please can anybody tell me how to delete a Delta search bar which has taken over my F/F search. I think I 'inherited' it when looking for streams for live football over the weekend. I have tried re-installing F/F but it returns with the new installation. I have Googled it but I didn't know to proceed with the technical explanation. Any...simple... help/instructions would be very gratefully received.

Thanks everyone but have tried all suggestions but the ruddy thing is still there !!! Any other simple ideas please and my computer knowledge is very limited.

Have you posted in the Malware removal forum and had a reply yet? That would be the way to go I think, or try Bleeping Computers, if you get no reply in a few days.

You could try system restore to a time well before you were infected but no guarantee if you would be free of this malware. I think, as it's relatively new, you'll needs someone that specialises in removing this type of infection.

Thanks again rdave13. I have just registered with Bleeping Computers so will keep my fingers crossed other than that I presume that I will have to change my search bar from Firefox.
