How to delete Delta search bar

Please can anybody tell me how to delete a Delta search bar which has taken over my F/F search. I think I 'inherited' it when looking for streams for live football over the weekend. I have tried re-installing F/F but it returns with the new installation. I have Googled it but I didn't know to proceed with the technical explanation. Any...simple... help/instructions would be very gratefully received.
Thank you
Tony

Hello rdave13 and sorry for the delay but I have been trying out your suggested post but unfortunately it hasn't worked but I will try once again. It seems very dependant on Malwarebytes freebie to find and remove it but after running it twice the Delta search is still there.

Had a similar problem with the Claro search bar.
It got onto Google Chrome and IE9 at the same time. I managed to get rid of it on Google Chrome but IE9 was impossible. The only way I could shift it was to revert IE9 to its default settings which of course loses all your stuff. Fortunately I rarely use IE9 so it wasn't too catastrophic. You need to go through all your program files and delete any associated programs.

This seems to affect the registry as well as browsers so I'd suggest it would be better to join a malware removal specialist site such as This One.

Have you tried downloading the Kaspersky Rescue 10 ISO, burning it and then running it?

Is it listed in the programs in the control panel uninstall?

Woolwell- If it is anything like that Conduit crap it will have buried itself multiple times in the Registry.

Hi there,
If you want to remove Delta Search manually, you may need to delete all of unfamiliar browser extensions but probably the easiest way would be to use antivirus that is effective in removing browser hijackers, e.g. Spyhunter. You can find more info about it here: http://www.2-viruses.com/remove-delta-search-hijacker.
You may also want to go to Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs and see if there were any unfamiliar programs installed during weekend when you browsed the net. Remove those, it might solve the problem.
