A bit more detail would help. Are you trying to connect a cable from a TV card in your PC to a set top box (and which box is that?) or from your PC graphics card into a set top box?

Sorry for being a bit vague ,I have a splitter going to main tv and to my pc monitor I had one cable going straight to pc using windows media centre but picture quality is not good so now its going straight to connection in monitor bypassing the desktop altogether I need to know can I put a hd set top box to monitor ie... TV CABLE>>>HD SET TOP BOX>>>MONITOR and will I get a better quality picture also is there a set top box with built in tv guides , hope this makes some sense

thx for replies
