IE 9 is so slow and freezing.

Have had problems getting web pages up. have uninstalled it and re-installed, taken add-ons off and reset it. now use google chrome but would prefer IE if I can get it back working quicker.

Have you tried Internet options, Security. And set them all to default. Or go to advanced while in there and press restore advanced setting see if that helps.

If none of those work try it with your Firewall turned off.
