is it possible for my broadband router and home heating systems to conflict with each other?
The broadband router is downstairs and the wireless home heating box is upstairs in the study where i get no network signal on my laptop
can they be a conflict preventing the broadband signal connections when near to the wireless heating control box?
if so what can i do?

Wireless and frequency connections have improved considerably over the years, but like most things, they can and do have the odd moments taking a number of things like location and signal strength or weakness into consideration.
It might pay to provide details of the router you are using, because this might provide possible options that are available?.
