Saving Excel Spreadsheet as Read Only

Hi
I have put a control button using vb code to save a workbook, however I am having a few problems.
I open workbook B using vb code in workbook A, I make a couple of changes and then save it, if I shut down all workbooks, workbook B is saved correctly.
However, if I reopen Workbook B without having shut down Workbook A, it tells me that Workbook B is read only, and I can't modify it.
I can't understand what is happening, are there any ideas how I solve this problem, is there a way of saving a workbook making sure that it is not read only.
Many thanks

Try typing the name of your spreadsheet into windows explorer then right clicking on it, click on properties to check that read only has not been ticked.
