Internet explorer History

When I try to search history in Internet explorer all I get is a series of numbers not words. Can any one help please?

IE's 'Search history' function can list files transferred to your computer from the internet. Highlighting one of these numbers might give you a hint as to where they were downloaded to, and therefore their origin. I have found that small files such as images can often have a string of numbers attached to them instead of actual words, if this is what you mean :-
