question on chrome

got this error in chrome

"Update failed (error: 3)An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 3: 0x80040154)"

could not find an answer using google, is "stable" version still beta or a final version using diferennt phrase.

using version 23 at present, could not find on google what the latest final version number is.

Latest version (just updated mine) is Version 24.0.1312.56 m. Have you tried clicking on About Google Chrome from the bars at the top right and then Report an Issue?

thats how i found the error, saw stable vesion 24 on major geeks and was not sure so i checked "about"
