Wordicon.exe problem fixed in Win7

Back in 2009 someone wanted help with wordicon.exe. That post is now locked. Wordicon stopped my MSOfficeWord from working and I had to use OpenOffice for a while. I've finally solved the problem by going to Malwarebytes and using File Assassin in 'More tools'. Type in wordicon.exe in the box and wait. It can take several minutes. For me it found two locations. I right clicked and deleted both files. They didn't disappear just then. I came out of Malwarebytes and found the two files in Recycle Bin. Back into Malwarebytes File Assassin and this time it couldn't find any wordicon.exe files. I then right clicked a Word file, open with, choose default programme, browse, Microsoft Office, Office, Winword.exe, MSWord is then an option (which it wasn't before when wordicon.exe was there).
