How would I find out what model laptop battery and charger I need?

I have a Dell Alienware M15x laptop and the Alienware M15x Battery life on it is shot and I need a new charger as well and I would like to order one online. Where would I look exactly to find out what charger and battery I need? Like where are the numbers etc.

Well, you could start by Googling Alienware M15x battery... :-) There seem to be plenty of potential vendors out there.

there will be a serial number on the battery (sn) try googling for that aswell
