Viewing Canon CR2 Raw files Win7

I have a win7 PC and a Win 7 Laptop. I have downloaded various codec packs,to view Canon CR2 Raw files. My problem is that I can view the raw files and play as slideshow in Windows explorer on the laptop, on the PC I can view the raw files but am unable to view as slideshow. Advice please
