What's wrong with my PC?

Hi friends. From last couple of weeks I am having a strange problem in my PC. Sometimes it does not get started, and if it did it gets tuned off itself after few minutes. While using it I hear some sounds like kit-kat-kit-kat off and on. Few days ago I saw all my drives became empty all of the sudden and my system turned off. After that I saw pink display in front of me. What's wrong here? It seems virus problem, but I am not sure. May you help me to fix this?

It could be a number of things, like hard-drive, power supply unit or even a fan problem with overheating.
Have you had a 'blue screen' with or any error messages displayed?.

How old is the computer and have been having any problems with the date and time.
If an oldish computer check the air vents for dust and fluff if any inside will need cleaning out as well.
Make sure you have not left a CD in the drive.
