iPad and printing on my Cannon printer

I am to get an iPad, when delivered, for Christmas but I heav heard that they can be hard to print from. Has anyone any thoughts on this subject please?

You would need this app. But you also need a compatible printer.

With the right app and a compatible printer then they are easy to print from.

The printer is a Cannon iP4700. As you can tell I am new to all this and I need someone to direct me in the right direction. So any help is most welcome.

That printer isn't wireless or network as far as I am aware so you will struggle to print with it from an iPad or any tablet.
