I've just built a new pc specs 430w corsair builder series 80+ bronze intel core i53350p asrock H77-MPRO Radeon HD7870 500gb seagate 8gb corsair vengeance (which isn't on the motherboards QVL)
What happens is when I turn it on there is no display on my tv which is a LG42LD450. I'm using a HDMI lead and I've tried it from the HDMI slot on the graphics card and the motherboard but no display. I also have no audio connection from the front panel so I can't hear no beeps. Please help me as this is my first build and I don't know what to do. Any help appreciated

Mr Mistoffelees
As you say all it takes is the smallest mistake or not inserting something fully and my nightmare is the front panel case connections, I have had so much bother with them over the years.

"I think I might of bought a fake copy of windows 7 on amazon"
Did you buy it direct from Amazon themselves or from one of their third-party "Marketplace" sellers that also sell goods on the Amazon website? If it's the latter then there's no guarantee it's a genuine copy. Before you start installing things I'd recommend you try to activate Windows and see what happens - see here. If it fails then you should be able to get your money back easily and you can then buy and install a genuine copy.
By the way, well done to Chronos for his good advice and perseverance in getting your new PC up 'n' running :)

Glad to hear it and well done to yourself for sticking with it. These problems can become very frustrating and annoying.
Enjoy your first build.
