Wireless standards G or N ?

Most new ADSL2 router/modems seem to be N Technology enabled. My devices almost certainly use the old G standard ( over 4 years old ! ). Is the N standard backward compatible with the old standard and what should I look out for ?

It is backward compatible.
Do not know what you mean by "what should I look out for"

There's nothing to look out for. Your setup should operate seamlessly, as if everything was to the same standard - it's just that it will perform at the speed of the slowest standard (G).
