laptop wont start

hi grandaughters laptop wont start when she turns it on message says 1.launch start up repair 2.start windows normally she launches s.u r message says windows is loading files then screen lights up, next s,u,r is checking system for problems next s,u,r cannot repair this computer automatically screen then goes blank and laptop switches of same when she starts up normally windows 7 o/s can you help thanks kirriejim

hi guys just got into safe mode and deleted a program she had installed a week ago restarted laptop no messages appeared booted up but stuck on blue screen by the way where can i d/l boot disc thanks kirriejim

Don't need a boot disk if you can get into safe mode.

If will boot in safemode but not normal mode then the problem is unusually a driver.

Try uninstalling drivers one by one in safemode until it will boot normally (windows will reinstall drivers as necessary

start with graphics driver.
