Windows Photo Viewer

How do I remove the above from my laptop I have Windows 8 Essentials set as my default programme for viewing photos but Windows Photo Viewer opens instead.

Go to control panel, default programs, set your default programs, and select from the list the one you wish to set as default. Such as Photo Gallery or the Photo tile or other you have installed.

Try right clicking a photo and in the context menu select 'open with'.
