software updates not working

I am running windows 7 on my desktop and have ben recieving MS windows updates regularly no problem. This week however 5 updates have been recieved and appear to download OK but when computer is next switched on they don't integrate. The same updates then constantly download every time I turn off the computer.

Right-click on My Computer and then go to Properties, then click on Windows Update (bottom left) then on Change settings.

You can then stop the updates re-appearing.

I have a similar problem, but am waiting for a tech guy to phone me on Monday morning from Novatech to sort it out for me - I bought my laptop from Novatech earlier this year.

I have tried that troubleshooter several times - never works!
